Annie Beeson is an interdisciplinary artist exploring experimental photography, digital art, abstract painting, video, sound, and performance art based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Explorations in physical healing and strengthening through structured movement in her art-making process are what defines her recent abstract works. Her recent art-making processes have been designed around regaining balance, strength, and fluidity in motion after a catastrophic spinal injury.
Healing the body through movement and sound, the confluence of land and water, the colors and sounds of nature, and the relationships between ourselves and animals, are an endless well of inspiration for her body of work. Action, processes, repetition, and juxtaposing mediums gives Annie's work a unique approach, offering viewers a distinctive perspective on motion and the therapeutic power of creative expression.
Annie has shown, collaborated, performed, throughout the Northwest, Southwest, and New York. Annie completed her degree in Art and Technology from the University of Oregon.
