Annie Beeson is an interdisciplinary artist exploring experimental photography, collage, abstract painting, video, sound, and performance art. She is based in Bordeaux, France. Explorations in physical healing and strengthening through structured, balanced movements in her art-making process are what defines her recent works. Her art-making processes are designed around regaining balance, strength, and fluidity in motion after a catastrophic spinal injury affecting the use of her arms, neck, and back.
Healing the body through movement and sound, the confluence of land and water, the colors and sounds of nature, and the relationships between ourselves and animals, are the inspiration for her body of work. Action, processes, repetition, and juxtaposing mediums gives Annie's work a unique approach, offering viewers a distinctive perspective on motion and the therapeutic power of creative expression.
Annie has shown, collaborated, performed, throughout the Northwest, Southwest, and New York in the United States. Annie completed her degree in Art and Technology from the University of Oregon.
